If our team checks it, that is when it goes live; if nobody has by the 24 hour mark, it is released automatically, and anything that turns out to be someone else’s photo or otherwise inappropriate is taken down as soon as we see it or you report it. Fake accounts, bots, and scammers are removed on an ongoing basis.

Signing up, sending and receiving messages, and uploading photos are all free. Optional premium perks exist, but you never have to pay to make friends or chat. No "free" bait-and-switch.
